Don't miss the opportunity to visit one of the most remote breweries in the country. Dent Brewery was originally only going to sell their beer at the local Sun Inn, but it proved so popular that other landlords in the Dales and Lakes asked for supplies and the brewery grew into what it is today...a well recognised beer that people from all over are coming to sample.

The famous 'Settle to Carlisle' railway - England's most scenic railway, runs through Garsdale, Dent and Kirkby Stephen. The line opened in 1876 and despite two attempts to close it, it remains open. The 72 mile journey passes through the beautiful Yorskhire Dales until Garsdale. After this stop, it ventures into the Eden Valley up to Carlisle.
