There are several different schools within Sedbergh for locals and people from afar to choose to send their children to. Located within the Yorkshire Dales and near the Lake District, these schools are situated in a beautiful location.
The comprehensive schools of Sedbergh Primary and Settlebeck High are both long standing excellent choices. The attendants of these two schools stretch back for generations in some families.
There is also Baliol. This is the Residential Special School for boys in Sedbergh. There are excellent facilities here and the school has fantastic teachers and staff. It is located on the Cautley road, just on the way out of Sedbergh.
Then there is of course Sedbergh School - the public, and until very recently, boys-only school of Sedbergh. It did however turn co-educational in 2001 and allow girls into the midst. Brilliant teachers, eager pupils and an intriguing history mean that Sedbergh School has always been a success.
